About this case
2015. Benjamin is 17 years. A nice and happy boy. But he looks a bit sad, and when smiling you don’t see any tooth exposure at all. Dr Defrancq made his treatment plan: pre-surgical orthodontics. surgery to turn his class II into a class I by BSSO (surgical lengthening of the lower jaw in a forward direction. Lengthening of his upper jaw by Le Fort I extrusion (vertical lengthening). An interposition bone graft was needed and harvested from the anterior hip. Benjamin and his mother were extremely happy with the outcome of the surgery. A nice open smile, and a beautiful balanced face. Benjamin could right away apply for the american navy!!
